Addressing the Family System

Our early family experiences shape our view of self, our relationship to others, how we view the world around us, and our behaviors. Come learn and explore ways to help clients begin to understand how their family roots shape their current lives and relationships. This CEU event is geared towards Mental Health Professionals.
1.5 CEUs offered for LPC, LMFT, LCSW, and Clinical Psychologist.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning. Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Deniece Christ-Rice, LCSW
Deniece received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston. Since the start of her career in 2005, her focus has been to guide clients toward tools and resources that foster personal growth and self-improvement, helping them to gain a sense of empowerment and freedom.
Deniece currently has a private psychotherapy practice located in the Rice Village area. She recently taught a class at the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work. Prior to starting private practice, Deniece was the clinical supervisor at Family Houston in the Heights area, and has also worked at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
Deniece has training and experience in CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Trauma Therapy, Anxiety and Depression Treatment, Relationship Therapy, Grief & Loss, Self-Compassion and Self-Care.
As a native Houstonian, Deniece enjoys many of Houston’s wonderful amenities. Some of her interests include running, cooking, live performances, spending time with friends, and trying new ethnic foods.
