ABOUT THE PROGRAM
10% of adolescents experience physical violence from a person they’re dating
30% experience emotional and mental abuse at the hands of a boyfriend or girlfriend
Adolescence is a time when teens’ ideas about relationships are being formed and can significantly impact future relationships. Join us for this presentation to explore what can be done to help teens create healthy boundaries in dating relationships.
1.5 CEUs offered for LPC, LMFT, LCSW, and Clinical Psychologist.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning. Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Elil is a graduate of Baylor University with a doctorate in clinical psychology. He has worked as a psychologist in substance abuse treatment, college counseling, and with victims of sexual and domestic violence. He has been in the Houston area for almost two years, including a year of internship at the University of Houston-Clear Lake Counseling Center. Dr. Elil is currently in private practice at Psychology Resources in League City. He provides individual therapy and psychological testing for adolescents and adults on a broad range of issues, including breaking the cycle of domestic violence.
