ABOUT THE PROGRAM
1 in 2 children will see their parents separate before their 18th birthday. What if we knew what was in their hearts and minds? Come join us for an exclusive preview of SPLIT, a powerful documentary featuring REAL kids sharing what is feels like when parents part. Touching, insightful and sometimes even funny, this deeply moving film pulls back the curtain and offers an unfiltered look at divorce through children’s eyes. Following the screening, divorce expert Christina McGhee will talk about minimizing the long-term impact of divorce for kids and what it takes to confidently co-parent children together while living apart.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning. Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Christina McGhee, MSW is an internationally recognized divorce coach, speaker and author of the highly acclaimed book, Parenting Apart, How Separated and Divorced Parents Can Raise Happy and Secure Kids.
Christina, dubbed the “divorce coach” by the UK press, gained worldwide attention for her work with three British families in the Channel 4 documentary “How to Divorce Without Screwing Up Your Kids.” She has been featured on television, radio and in print around the US and abroad, including the TODAY Parents, BBC, HLN with Kyra Phillips, Fox Family, LA Talk Radio, the Dr. Laura Berman Radio Show, Parents Magazine and The Times.
Today she spends much of her time doing outreach, promoting and speaking around the documentary SPLIT. Released in 2014, this compelling film about how divorce effects kids inspired McGhee to become involved as a subject matter expert and creative team member.
Christina was also a contributing author for the parenting book ToughLOVE: Eighteen Top Experts Share Proven Strategies for Raising Confident, Kind, Resilient Kids
Married for over twenty-years, Christina and her husband live outside of Houston, Texas. As a stepmom and a mom of four, she has received extensive on the job training as a chauffer, negotiator, short-order cook, scheduler extraordinaire and finder of all things lost.
