ABOUT THE PROGRAM
A description of the menopausal transition, a discussion of treatment options, and prevention of morbidity through the aging process.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning. Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Kelly Wirfel, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, University of Texas Health Science Center Houston
Kelly Wirfel is a Graduate of University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Internal Medicine. She trained at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, and had a Fellowship in Endocrinology at UT San Antonio and UT Houston. After her residency Kelly was employed by UT San Antonio, MD Anderson, and UT Houston while following her husband’s travels as an Army Surgeon. Currently, Kelly is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Fellowship program director, and Medical Director of UTP Physician Bellaire Multispecialty clinic. Her particular interests are in diabetes management, osteoporosis and fracture prevention, general endocrinology. Kelly also has experience in counseling on diet, weight, exercise, sleep, and women’s health.
